This update adds a subscriptions list to your Saved tab and new age verification tooling at account creation, along with a batch of visual polish, stability improvements, and bug fixes across challenges, articles, maps, and location screens.
New
- Your Saved tab is now organized into Favorites, Maps, and Subscriptions, with the organizations and places you're subscribed to moved here from Notification Settings.
- Account creation now supports Apple's built-in age verification on iOS 26 and later, with the existing age confirmation still used on earlier versions.
Improved
- Time zones now appear as short abbreviations like EST instead of full names.
- The challenge leaderboard again shows a participant count on challenges you haven't joined.
- Tapping the button for the tab you're already on now scrolls that screen back to the top.
- Improved accessibility for VoiceOver and other assistive technologies across several screens.
- The home screen opens a little more smoothly.
Fixed
- Swiping from the left edge to go back now works again on challenge screens.
- Fixed the photo credit and pull-to-refresh on articles with a single banner photo.
- Cleaned up the status and navigation bars on visitor profiles.
- Organization maps now zoom to the right area when they first open.
- Passport challenge badges now show up in dark mode.
- Evened out the spacing between the banner and the title on article cards.
- The "Refresh..." pill now appears when you pull to refresh on a challenge's Social tab.
- Evened out the spacing around in-line images in articles.
- Smoothed out scrolling on location screens with a large banner image.
- Removed an unsupported sort option from the photo challenge Locations list.
- Push notification links now open reliably, even on slow connections.
- Fixed a couple of rare app crashes related to maps.
- A private challenge no longer appears in "Things to Do" lists.
- Trail and outing map cards once again show their parent area.
- Challenge task badges now appear in dark mode.
- When you drop a pin while creating a report, it now stays where you put it.
- Search now finds place names spelled with the Hawaiian ʻokina and other special characters.
- Social posts now show a "+N" badge when more people liked a post than fit in the row.
- Made the "Search communities" box easier to tap on the Communities screen.
- The photo gallery's image counter is now easy to read and no longer cut off.
